ISRO Recruitment 2025: Apply for Over 400 Vacancies Across Scientific, Technical & Administrative Roles

  • The Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC SHAR) and the ISRO Centralised hiring Board (ICRB) are two of the many employment possibilities that the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has made open to 2025. Applications are being accepted for administrative, technical, and scientific roles across a variety of fields and skill levels.

  •  The SDSC SHAR/RMT/01/2025 notification was released on October 16, 2025, while ISRO-ICRB also announced another recruitment drive for 320 Scientist and Engineer posts. The application window for SDSC SHAR remains open till November 14, 2025, and for ICRB till June 16, 2025.

Available Posts and Disciplines

  •  ISRO has invited applications for 151 vacancies at SDSC SHAR and 320 vacancies through ICRB.

  • Positions are available across scientific, technical, and administrative categories.

Scientific and Engineering roles include:

  •  Scientists/Engineers ‘SC’ in Electronics, Mechanical, and Computer Science.

  •  23 vacancies for Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’, 28 for Technical Assistants, and 3 for Scientific Assistants. 

Technical Assistant Posts cover:

  •  Electronics & Communication Engineering, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Computer Science.

  •  One position at Rasayani and three at Sriharikota are in chemical engineering.

  •  10 Mechanical Engineering posts at Sriharikota and 1 at Rasayani.

Positions for scientific assistants which comes under pay-scale 7 are in between Rs 44,900 and Rs 1,42,400.

  •  In Computer Science having 1 backlog, Fine Arts/Visual Arts has 1 post, and Chemistry also has 1 post in Sriharikota.

  •  Chemistry (1 post) at Rasayani.

Library and Radiography Roles:

  •  Library Assistant ‘A’ and Radiographer ‘A’ — 1 post each at Sriharikota (PwBD-HH backlog).

Technician ‘B’ Posts:

  •  Trades include Chemical, Electrician, Fitter, Civil Engineering Assistant, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Photography, Diesel Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, and Instrument Mechanic.

  •  6 posts in Chemical at Sriharikota and 7 at Rasayani; 19 Fitter posts at Sriharikota and 2 at Rasayani.

Draughtsman ‘B’ Posts:

  •  Civil Draughtsman – 1 post each at Sriharikota (OBC, PwBD-HH) and Secunderabad (UR).

Support Staff Roles:

  •  Cook (3 posts), Fireman ‘A’ (6), Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’ (3), and Nurse ‘B’ (1 at Mahendragiri).

Computer Science Technician:

  •  1 post at Secunderabad (OBC category)

Eligibility, Pay Scale, and Selection Process

  • Candidates can apply with various qualifications ranging from class 10th with ITI to BE/B.Tech, Diploma, or BSc degree.

  •  Age Limit: Applicants should have a between 18–35 years as on the closing date, with the relaxations given for reserved categories.

Pay Scale:

  • Entry-level pay is from Rs 19,900.

  • Pay for Senior scientific positions goes up to Rs 1,77,500, depending on the post.

  • Employees also receive housing, transport, and medical allowances under ISRO norms.

 

Selection Process:

  • Written Test: To assess subject knowledge and aptitude.

  • Skill Test: Qualifying in nature, depending on job requirements.

  • Document Verification: Verification of academic and identity proofs.

  • Medical Examination: Final fitness evaluation before appointment.

  • The final merit list is based solely on written test performance.

ICRB Recruitment (320 Posts):

  • Online application available at apps.ursc.gov.in/CentralBE-2025A/advt.jsp.

  • Application Fee: Rs 250 (processing fee Rs 750, refundable under specific conditions).

  • Refund of full Rs 750 for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Women candidates upon exam appearance.
