Criteria for being Eligible

• This entry is only open to the unmarried males individuals.

• You must have passed class 12 with at least 60% of marks in PCM from a recognized board.

• You must have appeared in the JEE Mains exam of 2025.

• Your age should be in b/w 16.5 yrs and 19.5 yrs on 1 July 2026.

• Your date of birth should be in b/w 2 January 2007 and 1 January 2010 .

• Must satisfy medical and physical standards set for officer entry.

Promotion Criteria

• VCOAS / Army Commander / Lieutenant General (NFSG) – On selection

Pay according to posts

The salary starts at about ₹56,100 per month for a Lieutenant and increases to around ₹2,50,000 per month for the Chief of Army Staff (COAS).

Other ranks fall in between, such as:

Captain (~₹61,300), Major (~₹69,400), Lieutenant Colonel (~₹1,21,200), Colonel (~₹1,30,600), Brigadier (~₹1,39,600), Major General (~₹1,44,200), and Lieutenant General (~₹1,82,200). The top generals and Army Chief receive a fixed salary without allowances.
